October has been set aside worldwide as the Breast Cancer Month. The Breast Cancer society of Tonga has planned activities and programms to earmark this event. On the first of October a Thanksgiving service was held at Dr. Moulten's Center with Hon. Lupepau'u and her sister, Hon. Frederica Tuita as guest of honour.
Breast Cancer is one of the top killer diseases of woman in Tonga accordig to Dr. Ana 'Akau'ola from the Ministry of Health and she advised woman throughout the nation to be more vigilant and to alert to symptoms and signs of the disease. Symptoms may be a lump on the breast, or hardening of the nipple or a discharge from the breast. Woman should, therefore report these signs to the  to the doctor immediately.
